This collection of typescripts of the letters of Arnold to Charles Knowles Bolton (1867-1950) touch on a wide variety of topics from politics to classics. The letters are written with grace, are always lively and reveal a deep bond of friendship between the two men. Arnold was a collector and friend of, among other institutions, the Boston Athenaeum, the director of which was C. K. Bolton. Arnold wrote his letters from his home in Pasadena, Cal.
